Newsletter N0 8. Term 2, 2007/8
6th December 2007
Dear parents,
This is the time of year when time seems to race by even faster than normal and the glitter is now officially out! Thank you very much for all the offers of party food, mince pies and help at the parties. Your continued support is much appreciated. We are looking forward (with fingers crossed!) to the performances of the Christmas play next week. Help with teas after the performance on Wednesday would be much appreciated, so please let Mrs. Cox know if you can help.
Thanks very much to the School Association for all their hard work running the very successful mini fayre on Tuesday, which raised over £100. Brilliant! It was a really enjoyable afternoon, made even more special when Father Christmas managed to fit us in to his busy schedule.
We have had a very positive response from children wishing to take part in the drama club next term. I have been in touch with Louisa Ulyatt, who has offered to run two clubs in order to accommodate everyone. We are now trying to work out how to organise the clubs. It may be more beneficial to divide the clubs by age, so that Louisa can tailor the activities in an age appropriate way. However, I am aware that it may be inconvenient for families with more than one child involved to have to collect their children at different times on two days a week. Also many of the children attend other after school activities elsewhere. If your child ahs signed up for drama club, please could you return the slip below indicating your preference. We will do our best to accommodate everyone.
We still need to find another lunchtime supervisor, so please let me know if you are interested. The post entails working for two days per week, from 11.50 until 1.05 p.m.
If you have any forms or monies outstanding (such as data forms, home/school agreements/school fund), please send them in as soon as possible so that Mrs. Cox can complete her paperwork by the end of term.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs. Jane Hewitt
