Newsletter N0 11. Term 3, 2007/8
30th January 2008
Dear parents,
You are warmly invited to a meeting at school next Tuesday 5th February at 7p.m., about the possibility of providing care for children at before and/or after school clubs. Mrs. Joy Davison will be chairing the meeting. Joy works for Playlink, who have been involved in helping schools to set up clubs all over the county. As you know, I have been considering providing this facility here, to help working parents with before and after school arrangements. Several parents expressed an interest in the questionnaire I sent out last Autumn. It is important that you come along to the meeting if you want this facility to be set up at the school, so please try to come if you can. If you know of parents of pre-school children who may be interested in this in the future, please let them know that they are welcome to come along and hear about our future plans.
Thank you to all parents who returned the Every Child Matters survey. I am sorry to keep asking you to fill in forms – we seem to be a long way from the paperless society, don’t we? I must ask you now to please fill in the attached medical needs information, as I am required to keep a record of this. Even if your child does not normally need medication, please return the form. It would be helpful if you could fill in the contact details too, despite having given that information on the data form sent out earlier in the term. We can then keep up-to-date information in the first aid area, in case of emergency. Thanks in advance – I promise not to send you any more forms this term!
Thank you very much to all parents who have sent in swimming money. Please send in outstanding monies as soon as possible.
There seem to be several children who have mislaid their PE kits recently, so could you please check your child has their own kit, and make sure all items are clearly named. Thank you.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs. Jane Hewitt
