Dear parents,
Happy New Year! I hope you all had a relaxing break and feel ready for a busy new term. One of the first events this term is our Anglican inspection on Monday. The recent Ofsted inspection acts as a trigger for the Diocese to carry out their inspection of us as a Church of England Primary School. The inspector, Amanda Swift, will be here all day, talking to children and adults at the school.
The following Monday (15th) there is a meeting after school for any parents who are interested in finding out more about the ?Walking Bus? proposed by the Travel Plan committee. Please come along if you can.
Details of other events listed below will follow as appropriate.

Tuesday 9th Jan ? First visit to Thornbury for swimming etc.
Monday 15th Jan (3.30p.m.) - Meeting after school for parents interested in the Walking Bus
scheme
(4.30p.m.) ? Travel Plan committee meeting
Friday 2nd Feb ? Unicef non-uniform day
Thursday 8th Feb ? Ally Shaw to visit (Bishop?s visitor)
Thursday 15th Feb (or Friday 16th) ? Y5 to Iron Acton school for orienteering (details to
follow)
Tuesday 6th Feb ? Last visit to Thornbury for Term 3
Friday 16th Feb ? Last day of Term 3
Monday 26th Feb ? Inset day ? school closed to pupils
Tuesday 27th Feb ? First day of Term 4
Thursday 1st March ? Class 3 trip to Colston Hall (details to follow)
Tuesday 6th March ? First visit to Thornbury for swimming etc.
Friday 9th March ? Life Education Bus to visit the school
Tuesday 20th March ? Last visit to Thornbury for Term 4
Wednesday 4th April ? Last day of Term 4
Thursday 19th April ? First day of Term 5 (Please note ? no inset day!)
Just a reminder that school dinners currently cost £1.45 per day, to be paid in advance every Monday, please. We will let you know the cost of swimming and school fund for this term as soon as possible.
If any parents would like to order items of uniform, please let Mrs. Cox know as soon as possible.
