NEWSLETTER No.4/TERM 6
Dear Parents,
Please find enclosed your child?s report for this academic year. I hope you are happy with your child?s progress and feel the report gives you a clear picture. Please complete and return the attached slip with your comments about your child?s progress this year. If you would like to discuss your child?s report, or ask questions about the coming year, the staff will be available on 16th July after school. If you feel you would like an appointment with your child?s teacher, please see your child?s teacher to arrange a mutually convenient time. Please note there will be no computer club on that day.
The children had a great (if rather soggy!) day last Friday, setting up our wildlife garden. The older children made homes for a wide variety of wildlife, including birds, bats, hedgehogs and minibeasts. The younger children planted a variety of lovely plants to encourage butterflies and to make the area attractive. Thank you very much to the school association for funding the venture, and special thanks to Mrs. Woolnough and Mrs. Culliford for organising the event and for helping on the day. THANK YOU!
As you no doubt remember, when the hot air balloon was brought to school in May, it was too windy to inflate the balloon. As promised, Stroud and Swindon have arranged to return to school, in the hope that they will be able to show the children the balloon in all its inflated glory. This has been arranged for Wednesday 18th July at 1.30 p.m. Please sign and return the slip below to confirm you are happy for your child to go and see the balloon, which will be in the field near the church.
Yours sincerely,
Jane Hewitt
