Dear parents,
Enclosed with this letter is your invitation to our annual governors’ meeting for parents, which takes place on Thursday at 7.30 p.m. The main purpose of this meeting is to let you know about what is happening in school and what is planned in the near future. As a reward for turning out on a November night, we will be raffling three pairs of front row seats for the Christmas play, so don’t miss your chance to guarantee a good seat! I do hope you will be able to come along.
This week is the first of our two ‘Safety Weeks’ in our school. We are teaching the children various aspects of safety, including firework and general fire safety, safety in the home and road safety in the Winter months. On Wednesday we will have a presentation by the Road Safety team, about children being seen when they are out near the road in the darker months. After the presentation there will be a sale of ‘Be safe, be seen’ safety items. I will put up a display of the items that will be available on the notice board. If you think you would like to buy any of the items for your child, please send the money to school on Wednesday morning, as the sale will take place during the school day. Many thanks.
Thank you to all the parents who have returned their Home/School agreements. If you have not yet done so, please return yours as soon as possible, so that we can give the children the opportunity to sign them in school, when they can see that teachers and parents have been part of the agreement.
